DC museums

Transportation through history
Liam really like this train

A car we thought Daddy would like
Today my niece was in DC for a field trip for school, so we decided to meet her for a quick visit.  After a little bit of a crazy experience being able to find a parking place to catch the metro we were finally able to meet her at the Museum of American history.
Arts, Entertainment and Sports section, though we didn't see much about the sports to Liam's disappointment

The kids really like this section

It's sad really that my kiddies don't know about the muppets

We spelled his name

The display as you walk in representing the flag

This painting was amazing
An incredible section on the history of our wars
Daddy would have loved this section

Examining his building under the magnifying glass
Science and Technology for more hands on

After this museum we went to the Natural history museum.  I heard so many good things about it especially for kids and since it was next door we could hop in for a little while.  This museum definitely caught the kiddies attention and while we were not able to spend a lot of time we will be back, with Daddy next time of course.
At first Liam was worried about seeing dinosaurs, not knowing how real they were but once inside he was so excited

Notice the lack of Caitlyn in the photos, she was still too worried about them getting her.

I really like this skeleton of the turtle

Daddy and Liam's favorite animal

really like this display with the giraffe bent down to drink

Being a dental person, I couldn't resist a close up of this tongue.  I would not like working on someone with this tongue
love the lion
This elephant is what greets you when you walk in
